Which forward should Man City buy?

In the wake of Carlos Tevez’s departure this week to Juventus and Edin Dzeko seemingly surplus-to-requirements after being hawked around nearly every top four team in Europe, Manchester City suddenly have attacking voids to fill.

Although highly-rated Spaniard Jesús Navas has arrived, new manager Manuel Pellegrini looks to have narrowly missed out on his former play-making prodigy to Carlo Ancelotti’s Real Madrid, so City need new blood to form a new forward line that can push for the Premier League title.

  1. I can’t see past Cavani on this one. City seem to be playing hard-ball with Napoli over the fee, but in the current climate his reported £54m buyout clause could still be worth every penny.

Lewandowski would be an excellent acquisition too, although I think he’ll wait to run his contract out at Dortmund and move to his favoured destination – Bayern.- next summer.

  2. City will struggle a bit signing any of these players. Rooney unlikely to cross over, Cavani preferred destination Madrid, Lewandowski and Gomez unlikely, Jovetic not good enough.

As a result, serious work needs to be done in the hope of securing the title in the upcoming campaign. Cavani would be a dream though 🙂 #ProudCitySupporter
